War had broke out all over the world, and everyone had gotten news of a battle that was going to taking place airborn over one of the military bases near my home. They had asked all local civillians to come to the base, in respect of the soldiers that would be flying up to battle that day. Sort of like back in World War 2
So me, and everyone that I knew... everyone that I currently talk to, my friends, family, even a few kids from my class, went to the base.
I remember, we all looked up and watched the jets shoot up into the sky, organized to form a circle, leaving a trail of smoke behind them that began to cover the sky until we couldn't see the jets anymore. Everyone was still looking up though, and even though you couldn't see anything, you could hear the guns blasting and the explosions, and even see flashing lights through the smoke. And for some reason I thought to myself "what happens if one of the jets crashes? will we see it? " and right after I had thought that, all of a sudden I saw a missle shoot through the smoke, and heading straight towards earth.
for some reason.... everyone that was there, everyone in my life I know... was so in awe over the missle, they didn't take their eyes off of it as it flew towards us
and every second I was thinking "shouldnt we run? we should run....." and then i kept repeating "RUN RUN RUN!" but nobody moved, and for some reason I couldn't. Then it hit. We all watched the missle land a few miles away from us and the ground shook. and not even seconds after, a wall of light and fire grew till it almost blinded me... it was comming towards us faster than I could breathe
Then I ran.
I ran for only a few seconds though... somehow to wall of fire had branched off and some it had circled in front of me. and in only a matter of seconds, I looked back and saw nothing but the wall of fire. Everyone I knew had been vaporized in the intense heat of explosion. So I didnt run anymore. My U.S. History teachers voice ran through my head "they were vaporized while they stood there" and then I looked up... to the wall of fire... and was taken by it.
and whats funny is... I actually felt really fucking hot in my sleep when it happened
